Danish Delights: January 2006

First day of Sch

Woke up at 630 today.... darn early..... and its so blardie... coooolllldddd....... haha.... seriously, finnish pple, have you tried waking up so early?? its really buay tahan....

So me and ys went to pick Andrew up at the airport. Yes!!! We have a new member!! He came afterall!! Welcome Yandao! haha.... so glad u finally came!! such a wonder how things turn out sometimes ya?

Anyway today's the first day of sch.... had lessons from 1-5pm... and its really from 1 to 5.... not like some pple come back and slp at 330 loh.... WTH. But its kinda fun.... cos i'm taking this Computer Animation and modelling course... and it sorts of teaches us animation and modelling using Softimage software. Cool!! Finally I'm doing something which looks as interesting as its title... It's unlike the course in NUS which i think teaches you mathematics and theoritical stuff.... so i guess i really like it this way.... Heh... =)

Phew.... kinda late now... 130am... and i have morning lessons... i wonder if i can do this everyday.... but i better rest more.... Let's plan our weekend trips pple!!! Hopefully we can go skiing this weekend.... heh...

Intro Wk

Had 3 days of orientation... tmr's the last.....hmm actually its only 2 days to be exact... today's not really considered cos we were basically on our own after settling the CPR No. (smth like identity no.) in the morning.

Kinda like the orientation here.... cos there's really not many games... =p .... u know those ice-breaker games tt we've been playing since god knows when.... yea... luckily there's none of these this time rd... ha... only had a quiz thing where u needa go ard the sch finding answers.... and a tower building game where u've gonna place cans of beer at the top of it... yea... its cool.. cos we basically spend most of the time talking to one another, and since we all come from diff backgrds, its really cool just getting to know wat's happening in other parts of the world.

And we actually missed our last bus yest night cos 2 of my orientation mates went home without telling us!! Arghhh.... when we are supposed to go back tog!! We went looking for them and ended up having to walk like 3km to send an italian fren home before heading back to our hostels.... shucks... come to think of it.... its really kinda tiring.... machiam rd march. =S

Only had like 5plus hrs of slp..... and sy had 3 i think... ha... we damn tired.... think i gonna sleep now before going linchang's kitchen for dinner.... lol (*lich king*)

Settling in......

After the arduous 14 hr journey, we finally set foot on Denmark, the place where we're gonna spend the rest of the 6 mths in. We (me, sy, ys, sn, and grace) were greeted by our buddies (3 of them) the moment we stepped into the Copenhagen airport arrival hall. They were super friendly and offered to lend us a hand in our luggages!! haha.... ty told me tt's one of the benefits of having a buddy.... someone to help us drag the bloody big luggages to our accomm... and i'm just so glad that they did! =p

George's a real cool dude.... he even brought us to the accomm office, then the libary where there's free internet, told us abt some sch stuff, and most importantly showed us the school supermarket. A real helpful guy. Kuedos...

Yea so we actually went around the Lyngby town... doing some grocery shopping, checking out the different prices at the 2 cheapest stores in town... haha and of cos cooking in my kitchen (cos its the cleanest amongst all the other containers... =p). Went around the school as well, and whoosh... first time i've seen so much snow (not a lot as compared to finland of cos), got ourselves all wet and blood-thirsty sodemnizing sy in the snow!! haha.... *high five* to ys!!

yea.... that basically sums up the first 3 to 4 days here in denmark... i would say we met a lot of nice and helpful people.... danish and other nationalities as well..... great start.....

school starts in a week.... for now.... it's introduction week and getting to know about the culture and people all over europe! haha..... skål!!
